Job summary

Techserv in the United States is seeking a Transmission Construction Representative to manage transmission line and substation construction sites. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regs as well as client standards, drawings, and specs, coordinating contractor duties and reporting progress.

The role requires coordination with multiple stakeholders, review of constructability, and the ability to work long hours in remote locations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management (Construction supervision is a plus).
• Or ABET-accredited associate degree in electrical or civil engineering technology with 2 years of transmission line or substation experience.
• Or a high school diploma or GED with 6+ years of transmission construction experience.
• Computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Willingness to work long hours in remote locations.
• Must pass a screening process (drug test, background, driving record).
• First Aid/CPR Training is a plus.
• OSHA 30 Certified is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractor’s duties for transmission lines and station projects.
• Review plans, drawings, and specs for constructability before start.
• Provide site coordination to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Generate standard and ad-hoc construction progress reports as requested.
• Interface with client databases; manage drawings, outages, safety, and environmental tasks.
• Provide feedback on contractor performance, materials, and equipment.
• Manage materials: inspect, report shortages, coordinate deliveries.
• Coordinate required outages with the Operation Center and dispatch orders.
• Maintain OSHA compliance under the company program.
• Provide estimates to authorize work by contract forces.
• Collaborate with project team to ensure successful completion.
