Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission CADD Technician I in Billings, MT to draft discipline drawings under supervision, using AutoCAD or MicroStation, and prepare layouts and maps for engineering designs. This role supports power sector projects, requiring attention to detail and basic engineering concepts.

Qualifications

Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software
Perform other duties as needed
