Job summary

HDR is seeking a CADD Technician in the Power Delivery team in Michigan. You will create and modify electric substation drawings, distribution drawings, and transmission line drawings as part of a growing, nationally ranked group.

You will work under the supervision of engineers and staff, applying CAD techniques and maintaining accuracy while supporting project delivery and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software
• Perform other duties as needed
