Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking an Associate Director, Translational Science to bridge early discovery and clinical development. Based in Somerset, NJ, you will design translational strategies, identify biomarkers, and leverage multi-omics datasets to inform MoA, patient stratification, and resistance mechanisms in autoimmune and oncology diseases.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in Immunology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• 5+ years in biopharmaceutical industry or equivalent academic leadership in translational research.
• Extensive knowledge of autoimmune and oncology diseases, immuno-oncology, autoimmune diseases, or cell therapy.
• Demonstrated experience with genomic data analysis and data integration from multiple datasets.
• Proven track record in development, validation, and clinical implementation of complex biomarkers.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for biomarker-driven clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Lead translational strategy across programs from lead optimization through Phase II trials.
• Analyze high-dimensional data (scRNA-seq, CITE-seq, flow cytometry, spatial transcriptomics) for pharmacodynamic markers.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development to implement biomarker assays in protocols.
• Manage CROs and academic collaborators for assay development and data processing.
• Represent Translational Science on program teams and provide input on disease biology and competitive landscape.
• Author technical/regulatory documents (IND/IB/NDA) and contribute to publications and conferences.
