Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's Immunology team is seeking a Director of Translational Medicine Clinical Lead to accelerate early-stage candidates from portfolio entry to PoC.

You will design translational strategies, lead Phase 1/experimental medicine trials, serve as study physician, and guide cross-functional teams across biomarker and patient segmentation efforts; travel up to 10%.

Flexible work setup with locations in Spring House, PA; Cambridge, MA; La Jolla, CA.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD required.
• At least 3 years of industry or translational research experience.
• Leadership in clinical or research teams.
• Immunology and early clinical trial expertise preferred, esp. with immune cell-based or biologic therapies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of translational strategies and early clinical trials (Phase 1, experimental medicine, PoC).
• Serve as study responsible physician.
• Oversee cross-functional teams and biomarker/patient segmentation collaboration.
• Support business development and external academic collaborations.
• Prepare study documentation and communicate results at scientific forums.
