Job summary

Legend Biotech USA is seeking a Principal Bioinformatician for the Early Drug Development team, based in Somerset, NJ or remotely. You will lead translational analyses across multi-modality datasets to enable mechanism-of-action understanding and patient stratification.

Responsibilities include biomarker discovery/validation, developing scalable pipelines in cloud/HPC, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate findings into actionable insights for regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• PhD (5+ years) or MS (8+ years) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics or related field.
• Strong experience in translational research in oncology, immunology or autoimmune disease; gene/cell therapy involvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead translational biomarker analyses across multi-modality data (bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, TCR/BCR-seq, WGS/WES, ATAC-seq, proteomics, cytokine profiling).
• Drive discovery/validation of PD, predictive, prognostic and response biomarkers with clinical outcomes and PK/PD data.
• Build reusable bioinformatics pipelines in cloud/HPC, ensuring reproducibility and traceability.
• Collaborate with Translational scientists, Clinical Development, R&D, CROs to translate complex analyses into biological insights.
• Contribute to regulatory biomarker sections of INDs/IBs/CSRs and regulatory briefs.
