Job summary

L.A. Care Health Plan in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Translation Services Specialist III to lead end-to-end translation and alternative format operations, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee vendor performance, maintain translation memory, glossaries, and style guides, and mentor staff across C&L Services. This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years in translation project leadership, strong English skills, and experience with Plunet and Language

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; in lieu of degree, equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years leading translation projects with multilingual materials.
• Vendor management experience in translation/ localization preferred.
• Bilingual in threshold languages is highly desirable for this role.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end translation/alternative format requests cycle in Plunet and Language Vault.
• Maintain translation memory, glossary and style guides for quality outcomes.
• Monitor vendor performance via monthly reports and joint operation meetings.
• Address compliance gaps and ensure regulatory alignment with DHCS/DMHC/CMS.
• Provide mentorship, training, and subject-matter expertise to staff.
• Prepare translation/alternative format sections of reports and evaluations.
