Transitions is a program of The Arc Lexington in Mayfield, Cobleskill, and Albany. It supports high school graduates and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and other learning disabilities as they develop academic, career, life, and independent living skills.

As a Peer Mentor I, you will work with students to build confidence and independence, attend classes with them, and guide them through daily activities and community involvement.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current college enrollment or recent college graduation is required.
• Valid NYS driver's license is required.

Responsabilidades

• Work directly with young adults enrolled in the Transitions program to help them develop academic, career, and life skills for greater independence.
• Serve as a positive role model, providing guidance, encouragement, and support as students navigate new experiences and work toward personal goals.
• Attend classes with students, help them develop positive relationships, support community activities, and encourage responsible decision‑making.
