Job summary

The Arc Lexington in New York operates the Transitions program to help young adults develop academic, career, and life skills for greater independence. You will mentor students, model positive behavior, and support them as they navigate new experiences and opportunities.

Transitions partners with campuses in Mayfield, Cobleskill, and Albany, serving individuals with autism spectrum disorders and related needs; paid training and flexible shifts are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current college enrollment or recent college graduation is required.
• Valid NYS driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Transition students in building academic, career, and life skills for greater independence.
• Serve as a positive role model, offering guidance, encouragement, and support as students navigate new experiences.
• Help with classes and activities, support community involvement, and encourage responsible decision-making.
