Our programs focus on preventing family homelessness, providing shelter and transitional housing, supporting children's wellbeing and academic achievement, and quickly returning families to stable housing. What You'll Do

We're excited to add a Transitional Services Manager to our team! This role is vital within our organization, requiring strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for working with participants to combat homelessness. The manager will report to the Director of Residential Services and oversee the Transitional Housing Program's operations, including maintenance support, case management, intake, assessments, and resource connection to help families transition from homelessness to stability. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families and serve as a liaison to city funders and stakeholders.

What Your Day Looks Like
  • Develop, implement, and manage community programs supporting families impacted by trauma
  • Apply trauma-informed principles across all program aspects
  • Design and facilitate workshops on parenting, resilience, mental wellness, and community needs
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on program outcomes using data
  • Communicate with families about services and resources
  • Lead staff and partner training on trauma-informed care and community engagement
  • Support the Case Management team with personalized services
  • Collaborate to connect families with housing, employment, mental health, and education resources
  • Coordinate with Children's Services for events and activities
  • Ensure compliance with policies and confidentiality in program activities
  • Build relationships with community partners and advocate for families
  • Oversee workshops on life skills, crisis intervention, and empowerment
  • Manage grievance and compliance processes, ensuring safety and standards
  • Lead team meetings and case reviews
  • Model professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics
  • Respond to emergencies and participate in staff development
  • Support evening and weekend events and be on-call as needed
  • Contribute to strategies for program improvement and participant engagement
  • Perform other duties as needed

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or related field (preferred)

  • Leadership and motivation skills for team management
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and relevant software
  • Ability to travel locally and long-distance

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually

Position Type: Exempt

Union Representation: N/A

Schedule: Monday - Friday, with some weekends

Location: Hayes Street, San Francisco, CA 94117
