Job summary

Vocational Development Center Inc in Urbandale, IA seeks a Day Services Coordinator to lead daily activities and coordinate the transition program for high school students and young adults with developmental disabilities. You will ensure engaging activities, promote independence, and oversee program operations with a patient, team-oriented approach.

The role is full-time, Mon-Fri 7:30 am–3:30 pm with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
• Background checks including criminal, DMV, and abuse registries must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities for participants in the day program.
• Promote community integration and socialization opportunities.
• Oversee day-to-day program operations and activities.
• Administer medications and maintain medication records.
• Collaborate with the team to design individualized care plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain client progress documentation and program records.
