Position Summary
The Program Coordinator is responsible for integrating and monitoring the active treatment program of each assigned resident in a manner consistent with current federal, state, and local ICF/ID regulations and CARF standards. This role directs the work and provides supervision and leadership of assigned staff through mentoring and development of a cohesive team.
Responsibilities
- Direct the team in planning, coordinating, and implementing the organization’s programs and procedures for the individuals served.
- Prepare and facilitate resident admissions and discharges.
- Participate in pre-admission visits with potential residents and their families.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Ensuring assigned staff are scheduled for required classroom training.
- Developing and maintaining assigned employee work schedules.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Providing hands-on training directly with new employees in the home, including scheduling self and/or designated staff to train on the new employee’s regularly assigned shift (including weekends).
- Training to include resident-specific information as well as general schedule and workflow for the assigned home.
- Assisting with onboarding new employees by providing a written training plan, preparing relevant paperwork, introducing employees to residents, department staff, and others, setting up work areas, scheduling one-on-one time, supporting learning of agency culture including mission and values, and holding regular meetings to assess additional training needs.
- Provide direct support on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
- Free from convictions or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field preferred; or Associate of Arts degree with one year experience in a direct support setting; or minimum one year supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership ability and at least two years experience in a direct support facility will be considered.
- Minimum of one year experience working directly with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
- QBS Certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicle(s).
- Ability to obtain a Class C (CDL) endorsement, as assigned.
Pay Range:$52,622.88 - $54,662.40 per year
