Job summary

State Street Investment Management is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to own the Transition Management and trading technology platform. The role spans design, delivery, and production support with end-to-end platform ownership to ensure availability, scalability, and resilience across asset classes.

You will partner with business leaders and global teams to drive modernization, improve execution outcomes, and reduce operational risk, while aligning with platform governance and risk

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in front-office technology and trading platforms.
• Proven leadership in mission-critical platform engineering and operations.
• Strong understanding of trading workflows and execution processes.
• Experience driving platform reliability, scalability, and risk reduction.
• Expertise in cloud platforms, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end TM technology platform including execution, workflow orchestration, and post-trade processes.
• Define and execute the platform roadmap aligned to growth and efficiency.
• Drive modernization toward cloud-native, API-first architectures.
• Implement proactive monitoring, observability, and automation to minimize incidents.
• Deliver and enhance core TM capabilities across assets.
• Lead and mentor a global engineering and analyst team.
• Establish KPIs and report platform health to senior leadership.
