Job summary

Holyoke Public Schools is seeking a Job Coach for the Transitions Academy to support students age 18–22 in classroom and community settings. The role reinforces academic, vocational, social, and independent living skills, coordinating with teachers, families, and employers to help students gain employment and independence.

The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and relationship-driven, with a commitment to student independence and success in adulthood.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; completion of at least two years or 48 credit hours, or passing the Parapro/WK assessment.
• Experience working with children and/or adults with disabilities.
• Experience in urban educational settings; ability to support diverse student populations.
• Bilingual Spanish encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce academic, vocational, social, and independent living skills for students.
• Support students at classroom, community, and job sites.
• Model workplace expectations and promote independence.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and employers to track progress.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district policies.
