Job summary

The Town of Snowmass Village is seeking a Facility Maintenance Tech to join the Transportation Department. This is a hands-on, in-person role based in Snowmass Village, CO, performing cleaning and basic repairs of transit vehicles and facilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience with motorized equipment and snow removal, and a valid CDL Class B is desirable. A sign-on bonus and recreation benefits are offered, along with employee perks such as bus passes and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving a truck or bus is desirable.
• Experience operating and maintaining motorized equipment and appliances related to building maintenance and snow removal is desirable.
• Valid Commercial Drivers License Class B.
• Able to operate a snowplow in a confined space.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and appliances to clean buses and delivery vehicles to maintain access to the wash bay and delivery docks.
• Coordinate with the Transit Foreperson on the cleaning of vehicles and the transit depots, bus stops, walkways, elevator, offices and vehicle storage bays.
• Clear facilities of trash debris.
• Perform snow removal with hand tools, powered equipment and/or plow truck.
• Operate heavy equipment using safe judgment in a confined area; safely operate service vehicles and plow truck on public roadways.
• Learn the proper use of motorized and/or mechanical equipment.
