Job summary

Via in Mobile, AL is seeking a hands-on Utility Worker to maintain safety and efficiency of our facilities, vehicles, and grounds. You will perform upkeep, custodial tasks, and basic vehicle maintenance under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to take on multiple tasks, and the ability to pass drug and background checks. On-the-job training is provided, and a pre-employment physical is required.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid driver’s license.
• Dynamic; willing to wear multiple hats and work on projects of all types.
• Action-oriented and able to solve problems and get the job done.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug test, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep, sanitation, and detailing of buses and support vehicles to ensure safety and comfort for riders and staff.
• General building and grounds upkeep, custodial tasks, minor repairs to keep facilities clean and safe.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks (e.g., tire swaps) under supervision.
• Support operations with miscellaneous tasks and special projects.
