The University of Georgia is seeking a skilled vehicle maintenance technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles, including transit buses. This role requires adherence to industry standards and safe practices.
The ideal candidate possesses technical knowledge from apprenticeship or formal training, with experience in heavy-duty diesel vehicle maintenance preferred. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area and timely completion of required reports. The schedule involves a 40-hour work week, typically from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair defects on fleet vehicles. Perform maintenance on transit buses and other fleet vehicles in accordance with industry standards, safe practices and manufacturer's specifications. Applicants submit to drug and alcohol testing by the US Department of Transportation.
