Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Provides basic to intermediate-level mechanical repairs on transit buses as assigned by the supervisor (50% of time).
  • Remove and replace broken components on diesel/electric buses as assigned by the supervisor (20%).
  • Complete assigned work orders and submit them to the supervisor for approval; complete all necessary training as required (15%).
  • Ensure work progress is approved before starting the next task (5%).
  • Assist FT technicians with scheduled preventative maintenance (5%).
  • Keep the work area safe and clean (5%).
