Job summary

City and County of San Francisco’s SFMTA is seeking a Project Manager I for the TCUP in the Streets Division to oversee CBTC integration with current signal systems and to lead ITS coordination across multiple disciplines. This role emphasizes timely project delivery and safe multimodal mobility in San Francisco.

The PM1 requires a technical degree with relevant experience and may involve collaboration with internal staff and consultants to ensure compliant, high-quality plans and designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering or planning plus four years of related experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree in another field plus six years related experience, OR
• Eight years related experience, OR
• California registration as professional engineer or architect.

Responsibilities

• Oversee internal staff and consultants to integrate CBTC with existing traffic signal infrastructure.
• Develop timing calculations to improve transit travel times and reliability.
• Provide direction for studies, designs and plans using AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM.
