Job summary

San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) seeks an Integration Engineer for the Administration Division in San Francisco. The role supports the TCUP project by delivering IT components, APIs, and data integration across enterprise systems.

On-site work with occasional after-hours as needed. The position is a Temporary Exempt appointment, with a 36-month duration, requiring 3 years of system integration experience and an associate degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60+ credits with 20+ in CS/related field.
• Three years of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, and maintaining system components.
• One year extra experience can substitute the degree; 1010 trainee program may substitute for degree.
• Desirable: APIs, messaging middleware, cloud functions, Docker, Git, ICDs/interfaces, ITS integration experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and teams to define requirements and resolve integration issues.
• Provide input on integration approaches, interface design, and testing methodologies.
• Create interface specs, docs, and diagrams; map data dependencies.
• Develop data transformation scripts and test APIs, middleware and messaging systems.
• Support deployment, readiness, rollback planning, and incident response for mission-critical systems.
