Job summary

Sound Transit in Seattle is seeking an engineering manager to supervise the Transit Systems Engineering (TSE) unit within the Transit Systems Technology team. The role focuses on systems integration, vehicle and control systems, and ensuring project deliverables meet agency standards.

You will lead a diverse technical staff, manage budgets, and coordinate with stakeholders across expansion programs while driving continuous improvement and a culture of safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Five years of technical systems engineering experience.
• Three years of leadership and budget/workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates work of the Transit Systems Engineering team.
• Provides engineering support to projects and testing.
• Reviews contracts, criteria, and project deliverables for compliance.
• Leads process improvements and technology assessments.
• Mentors staff and manages performance and development.
