Job summary

The MBTA seeks a Business Systems Analyst to analyze and improve transit planning, scheduling, and workforce management across bus, light rail, and heavy rail operations.

You will document business requirements, develop dashboards, lead workshops, and create training and change management materials for key applications like HASTUS, partnering with staff, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three years of experience in business analysis or related fields.
  • Experience or interest in the public transit or transportation industry.
  • Ability to travel to locations throughout the MBTA's service area.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes to identify problems and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including BRDs and process maps.
  • Lead workshops with staff, contractors, and vendors.
  • Plan and drive dashboards to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Develop training and change management materials for new applications.
  • Support end-users with system usage and troubleshooting.
