Job summary

The City of Galveston seeks a versatile general maintenance technician to support fleet and facilities operations. Responsibilities include cleaning vehicles, performing basic maintenance, and assisting mechanic staff while serving the public with courteous service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance to mechanic staff as needed.
• Cleans vehicles; refuels vehicles; checks fluid levels.
• Performs general building and grounds cleaning for transit facilities.
• Supports public relations with courteous, cooperative behavior; maintains confidentiality.
