Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Driver Compliance in Jamaica, NY. You will provide security, perform unarmed patrols at transit facilities, and deliver excellent customer service to riders and staff.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, bus areas, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, damaged property, and policy violations to appropriate personnel and/or public authorities.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and communication logs in accordance with site procedures.
