Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Route Checks in Jamaica, NY. You will protect clients across transit facilities, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors.

Responsibilities include regular patrols of depots and terminals, credential verification, access monitoring, incident response, and meticulous log keeping per site procedures.

Qualifications

Pay Rate: $17.87 - $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule

DayTime: Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transit facilities and surrounding areas.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of bus depots, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
