Job summary

Golden Empire Transit District is seeking a Transit Scheduler Technician to analyze and prepare complex transit schedules and related functions, including run-cutting and assigning trips to operating personnel and vehicles.

The role supports design and planning of fixed-route service using data to evaluate efficiency, propose modifications, and analyze service alternatives with supervision from the Operations Division Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s preferred.
• Two to three years in scheduling, planning, data management, or routing in logistics or transit.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and maintaining scheduling data, route structures, stops, and times.
• Gather public requests and stakeholder feedback for evaluating service performance.
• Assist in designing new or modified services based on data analysis.
• Prepare and analyze data, reports, and performance metrics for planning studies.
• Support development of standard operating procedures and project coordination.
