Job summary

DART seeks a Sr Manager Safety Training to develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs across all aspects of system safety and SMS. You will lead curriculum design and Train-the-Trainer sessions, coordinating with the Agency Safety and Compliance Department to ensure compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, several years of transit safety training experience, and the ability to work irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Safety, Business Administration or related field.
• Four (4) years of directly related experience in training and/or safety, including two (2) years in government/transit operations.
• Instructor certification preferred.
• Proficiency with PC software including Microsoft Office or related applications.
• Must pass a medical exam including drug screen to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Develops, recommends, implements and identifies training programs aligned with SMS and agency goals.
• Develops or modifies lesson plans per operating, safety rules and audit findings.
• Conducts safety training for all DART employees and Train-the-Trainer sessions for Supervisors.
