Job summary

Hill Country Transit District in Belton, Texas, seeks a Safety and Training Supervisor who directs bus operators to deliver safe, efficient, and courteous service while complying with policies. You will coach operators, conduct evaluations, coordinate with maintenance, manage schedules, and support daily operations under the Safety and Training Manager.

The role requires a CDL Class B with endorsements, driving experience, and strong communication and leadership skills to ensure high standards

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Three (3) years of professional driving experience, preferably in public transportation.
• Must have a valid CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement and Air Brake Endorsement, or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Trains, coaches, counsels and advises bus operators on rules and procedures.
• Conducts driver performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Oversees daily work schedules, service readiness, and documentation in the tracking system.
• Coordinates with Fleet Maintenance to ensure vehicle repairs.
• Manages daily field activities for commuter and micro transit buses.
• Directs and coordinates bus services along designated routes.
• Monitors routes for delays and responds to operational issues.
