Job summary

Denton County Transportation Authority is hiring an Operations Supervisor to oversee bus operations, manage coaches, and ensure safe, reliable service. The role requires leadership experience in a transit setting, a valid CDL, and the ability to coordinate daily staffing and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Associates' Degree and three years of supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum one year as a coach operator or in a public transit/transportation environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage coach operators, provide coaching and discipline per policy.
• Assign work runs, ensure schedules and on-time performance.
• Dispatch extra-board operators and optimize staffing daily.
• Coordinate detours and service recovery to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain safety, record incidents and supervise performance.
• Assist the public and schedule access rides as needed.
