Tri-Valley Opportunity Council seeks a Transit Route Scheduler to manage daily scheduling and dispatch for Heartland Express Transportation services. The role includes ticket management, monthly reports, and public relations, with emphasis on positive customer service to callers, clients, vendors and drivers.

Responsibilities cover coordinating rides, scheduling special trips, maintaining trip manifests, and updating a monthly calendar in the dispatch system.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or two years equivalent of experience in a similar position (office support, dispatch, communications, or reception).
• Two years of experience with computers, including Word and Excel, email and internet.
• Ability to understand city street structure and effectively communicate directions.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming calls and transfer as appropriate.
• Operate dispatch software and radio/phone equipment.
• Schedule daily calls and reservations across multiple counties and routes.
• Monitor scheduling information and notify supervisor of issues.
• Provide public transportation information with courteous service.
