Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) offers a summer internship program designed to expose college and graduate students to careers in law enforcement and public safety across the Metro system. Interns will rotate through departments including Bus/Rail Operations, Safety/Emergency Management, IT, Engineering and city planning, with hands-on assignments and supervision by executives.

Assignments run up to thirteen weeks at multiple locations in Maryland, Washington DC, and

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree relevant to the position.
• Intern must have completed freshman year and be entering sophomore year.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.

Responsabilités

• Compiles, reviews and analyzes data for reports.
• Researches data for management, operations, and administrative reports.
• Produces work products: presentations, reports, and data visuals.
• Participates in training and attends meetings to gain exposure to transit functions.
