Job summary

SEPTA, the sixth-largest U.S. transit system, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (E&C) to support Transit Facilities capital design and construction projects. You will lead project planning, coordination, and execution to meet SEPTA's requirements and public expectations.

The role demands broad engineering knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to supervise a mix of engineers and inspectors. New hires should be prepared for evening or night work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc. Engineering or Architecture with seven years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor with all levels of personnel.
• Understanding of construction project management techniques; ability to manage budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Project Manager on project scope and feasibility.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, and program plans for proposed projects.
• Manage consultant contracts and coordinate design reviews with Operations departments.
• Represent the Authority with stakeholders and public meetings when required.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and inspectors.
