Job summary

Creighton Manning is hiring a Transit Project Lead to manage public transportation planning and infrastructure projects across New York State. This hybrid, full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay and opportunities to lead bus, BRT, station, and multi-modal initiatives while growing client relationships.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in transit planning or transportation engineering, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Planning, and professional credentials (P.E. or AICP preferred).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in transit planning, transportation engineering, or related public transportation work.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
• P.E., AICP, or equivalent transit leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with public transportation projects, project delivery, client communication, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% and attend meetings outside normal business hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead bus-focused transit planning, transportation engineering, and multi-modal infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate bus operations, service efficiency, network redesign options, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support design of bus stops, stations, maintenance yards, facilities, and related transit infrastructure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, client communication, and financial performance.
• Prepare reports, concept plans, graphics, meeting materials, and proposal support.
