Job summary

Creighton Manning seeks a Transit Project Lead (Engineer or Planner) to guide bus-focused transit planning and multi-modal infrastructure efforts. You will supervise scope, schedule, budget, and client communications across Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo, and other NY locations in a hybrid work setup.

The role demands 10+ years in transit planning or engineering, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and leadership credentials.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in transit planning, transportation engineering, or related public transportation work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
• P.E., AICP, or equivalent transit leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with public transportation projects, project delivery, client communication, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to travel approximately 25% and attend meetings outside normal business hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead bus-focused transit planning, transportation engineering, and multi-modal infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate bus operations, service efficiency, network redesign options, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support design of bus stops, stations, maintenance yards, facilities, and related transit infrastructure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, client communication, and financial performance.
• Prepare reports, concept plans, graphics, meeting materials, and proposal support.
