Job summary

Creighton Manning is seeking a Transit Project Lead to manage public transportation planning and infrastructure projects across New York State. The role is ideal for an experienced transit planner or transportation engineer who wants to lead bus, BRT, station, and multi-modal projects while growing client relationships.

Hybrid work arrangement with locations including Albany, Syracuse, Buffalo, Poughkeepsie, or White Plains, NY.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in transit planning, transportation engineering, or related public transportation work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
• P.E., AICP, or equivalent transit leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with public transportation projects, project delivery, client communication, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead bus-focused transit planning, transportation engineering, and multi-modal infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate bus operations, service efficiency, network redesign options, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support design of bus stops, stations, maintenance yards, facilities, and related transit infrastructure.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, client communication, and financial performance.
• Prepare reports, concept plans, graphics, meeting materials, and proposal support.
