RTD in Denver recruits an Engineer II to support transit improvement projects across planning, design, and construction phases. You will assist with analyses, design reviews, cost estimates, and field coordination under senior staff guidance to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

The role may serve as Project Manager for small-scale investments and requires collaboration, strong communication, and CAD/CPM familiarity. Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Three years of experience supporting transportation, transit, or public infrastructure projects.
  • Three years of experience administering construction and consultant contracts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to prepare documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license and a driving record meeting RTD standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned small-scale capital improvement projects from planning through closeout.
  • Assist in contract administration, ensuring documents are submitted and schedules/budgets updated.
  • Coordinate project activities with contractors, consultants, utilities, owners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparing RFPs/IFBs, engineers' estimates, and procurement documentation.
  • Support stakeholder meetings and public presentations with technical information.
