Job summary

City Planner position within the NYC transit and streets planning division seeks a candidate to advance rapid bus initiatives, street design, and multimodal mobility. Role emphasizes public outreach, grants, environmental reviews, and coordination with MTA and city agencies.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in transportation planning, street design, or transit priority development.
Experience presenting to senior leadership, community boards, and elected officials.

Responsibilities

Support Rapid Bus Network Development with community outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Pursue and manage grants to finance bus projects and review environmental impacts.
Track project development and coordinate with MTA and other subunits on designs.
Lead public workshops and presentations to diverse audiences; evening/weekend availability.
Assist in delivering bus lanes, busways, and transit-supportive street treatments.
