Mass Transportation Authority in Flint, MI is seeking a Planner 1 to provide research and analysis support to the Mobility and Service Development section of the Planning and Innovation Department. This technical role helps advance the organization's short- and long-term goals.

The position emphasizes data entry, reporting, grant research, and collaboration with stakeholders to shape transit services, including micro-transit and MaaS initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, Economics, or closely related field.
• Familiarity with federal and state reporting in a non-profit and/or government organization preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in development of planning studies and reports such as the MTA Annual Report, 5-year plan and program, and bus fleet management plan.
• Responsible for Excel data entry, cleaning, and advanced data sorting, reporting and manipulation functions.
• Assist with technical writing, National Transit Database reporting, and Federal Transit Administration compliance.
• Monitors and reports on current ridership and operational performance trends.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and applicable key performance indicators.
• Provide administrative support to the planning department including data entry, file management, copying and answering telephone.
• Assist with researching and writing competitive transit related grant applications.
• Analyze large amounts of data to determine local transportation trends and assist in developing recommendations.
• Participate in community meetings and activities that may impact public transportation.
• Assists with the development and maintenance of MTA’s long-range plans.
• Assists with planning Mobility services to include micro-transit, micro-mobility, Mobility-As-A-Service (MaaS) to provide a complete set of transportation services to the community.
