Job summary

MTS in San Diego is seeking a Passenger Support Representative for a part-time, hourly role. You will provide general system and service information and assist the public in a customer-facing setting, including staff support for events and ticketing at stations and vending machines.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual English/Spanish is desirable. Shifts vary, with some weeks having no assignments and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent in vocational training.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general passenger assistance in a friendly and professional manner.
• Give accurate information regarding ticket purchases and route information to the general public.
• Assist customers using ticket vending machines, mobile ticketing, and fare validation equipment.
• Sell transit fare tickets to the general public and make correct change.
