The City of Glendale, AZ is seeking a Transit Supervisor in the Transportation Department. The role oversees the day-to-day activities of transit operators, coordinates fleet maintenance, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Includes budgeting support and program development. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in a related field and have five years of transit operations experience, including three years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in public or business administration, management, transportation planning or a related field is required.
• Five years progressively responsible experience in transit operations, including three years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and city transit regulations and contracts is essential.

Responsabilités

• Plans, organizes, and supervises the activities and staff involved in providing City transit services.
• Coordinates maintenance and/or replacement of fleet vehicles in compliance with regulations and contracts.
• Assists in budget preparation and monitoring for transit operations.
• Enforces compliance with policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to transit systems and testing requirements.
• Represents Glendale Transit at meetings and on committees.
• Develops and coordinates public information programs.
