Job summary

Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board in Fresno is seeking a Transit Supervisor I to lead day-to-day bus operations and oversee driver assignments on a shift basis.

You will monitor routes, handle delays, investigate service issues and customer complaints, and prepare performance reports. This role requires a valid California driver’s license and relevant transit experience, with safety and compliance as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in transit operations.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in transportation, public or business administration or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bus and driver assignments.
• Monitor routes and restore service during delays.
• Investigate service issues, violations, and accidents.
• Resolve customer complaints and minor grievances.
• Prepare reports and operational documentation.
• Evaluate driver performance and recommend actions.
• Respond to field incidents requiring intervention.
• Identify service problems and suggest improvements.
• Perform training, ride‑alongs, radio control, or paratransit oversight as assigned.
