Job summary

Blue River Services, Inc. seeks a Dispatcher to support safe, timely passenger transportation by coordinating trip information, dispatching drivers, and communicating with passengers and partners.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, data-entry, and problem-solving skills, while maintaining confidentiality of consumer and employee information. Training will begin at Corydon with relocation to New Albany as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional communication at all times.
• Strong verbal and written communication including phone etiquette.
• Ability to learn and follow public transit routes and schedules.
• Proficiency with word-processing, database, spreadsheet, email, and dispatch software.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and gather trip/passenger details.
• Dispatch information to drivers via two-way radio and other methods.
• Provide drivers with route, schedule, and appointment information.
• Communicate professionally with passengers, families, staff, and community partners.
• Maintain accurate transportation documentation and records (Excel, trip totals, logs).
• Create and update information in the Dispatch Software package.
