Job summary

C-TRAN in Vancouver, WA, seeks an Operations Supervisor to oversee all transit service, supervise Operators and contracted security, ensure safe operation, schedule compliance, and quality customer service.

You will plan and supervise daily assignments, respond to incidents, develop detours, and coordinate dispatch and field support, working with other supervisors to maintain service delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires at least three (3) years applicable supervisory experience.
• Extensive customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a Commercial License Permit.
• Safety-sensitive position subject to FTA Drug and Alcohol Testing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide staffing relief as required in the absence of other Operations Supervisors.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of all Operators; commend and counsel as appropriate.
• Assign open work assignments to standby, extra board, and off-duty Operators per labor agreement.
• Assign buses to routes, monitor vehicle availability, and manage field substitutions.
• Monitor route performance and develop proposals to correct deficiencies.
• Provide on-site investigation of accidents and incidents; develop and implement detours.
