Job summary

Washington County Government's Transit department seeks a Transit Operations Supervisor to manage daily operations, staff across services, and ensure efficient routes aligned with rider needs. • Graduation from an accredited college with major coursework in business management, transportation program coordination, and safety compliance.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Transit department and staffing across services.
• Evaluate bus routes for efficiency and customer need; respond to incidents.
• Oversee training and certification of transit operators.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations (FMCSR/ADA).
• Develop and implement operating policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Oversee bus fare collection; report equipment malfunctions.
• Prepare reports and maintain records.
• Respond to complaints from employees and the public.
• Represent the transit system at meetings and coordinate with state/local offices.
