Job summary

Butler County Regional Transit Authority in Oxford, Ohio is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor III to lead daily transit operations at our Oxford location. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and efficient service, coordinating dispatch, scheduling, and staff to respond to emergencies and service disruptions.

The successful candidate will supervise operators, monitor adherence to safety and procedures, perform route and shift adjustments, and provide coaching and performance feedback.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in transit operations, dispatch, field supervision, scheduling, rostering, or related environment.
• Experience independently managing road supervision and operator responsibilities.
• Troubleshooting MDT and AVL systems.
• Experience responding to emergencies and coaching employees.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transit operations to support safe, reliable, and efficient service.
• Lead scheduling and rostering with minimal oversight.
• Manage complex dispatch situations and service interruptions.
• Operate the base radio console and communicate information to operators.
• Troubleshoot MDT and AVL system issues to minimize disruptions.
• Monitor operators’ adherence to safety and procedures.
• Investigate incidents and safety concerns; coordinate emergency responses.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to operators.
• Prepare and maintain operational records and reports.
