Job summary

LAZ Parking seeks a Director of Transit Operations to oversee planning, performance, and profitability of regional transportation contracts, including fixed-route shuttles, micro transit, paratransit, and campus mobility. Responsibilities

• Lead all assigned transportation operations and report to Contract Liaison and Regional VP.
• Manage day-to-day operations across contracts including staffing, compliance, maintenance, dispatch, and scheduling.
• Ensure DOT/FTA regulations, vehicle inspections, and LAZ safety policies are followed.
• Oversee subcontractor performance related to shuttle maintenance and driver operations.
• Champion technology adoption (GPS, CAD/AVL, scheduling tools) to improve efficiency.
• Monitor ridership trends, route performance, and customer satisfaction for continuous improvement.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight for locations.
• Lead performance reviews with client stakeholders to exceed service levels.
• Partner with LAZ HR in hiring, onboarding, and staff development.
• Foster a Safety, Service and Professionalism culture aligned with The LAZ Way.
• Support business development, RFPs, and contract renewals as needed.
