Job summary

The City of McAllen is seeking a Journey Technician to perform complex auto mechanic work, repairing and maintaining gas, diesel and heavy equipment across city vehicles. Under general supervision, you will diagnose, adjust, re-align and repair automobiles, trucks, buses and off-road equipment with little to no assistance.

Daily duties include handling repairs on a wide range of city vehicles while maintaining courteous and professional contact with the public and other departments.

Qualifications

• Automotive repair knowledge across gas/diesel/heavy equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a range of vehicles.

Responsibilities
