Job summary

GMV is seeking a Field Technician to work at customer sites across the United States, installing, configuring and troubleshooting onboard hardware and integrated transit systems.

You will collaborate with Customer Success, Operations and Engineering to deliver deployments, manage field activities, and document installations with field reports.

The role requires 1–3 years of hands-on technical experience, travel willingness, and a proactive approach to problem solving in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on technical experience in heavy-duty vehicles or related systems.
• Willingness to travel across the United States for field deployments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and vehicle inspections to prepare installations.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot and repair onboard hardware and integrated transit systems.
• Work with vehicle electrical systems, including power sources, fuses and converters.
• Review project documentation and Statements of Work (SOW) and perform field activities accordingly.
• Coordinate with customers regarding installation activities and basic system training.
• Document installations through field reports and photographs.
• Provide timely updates and escalate issues to relevant teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering to troubleshoot field issues.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors and verify installations meet quality standards.
