Job summary

RL Controls, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to execute installations and testing for vehicle systems, including upgrading equipment, wiring, and conduit work. The role requires field service experience in mass transit, reading technical docs, and capable use of hand tools and test equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree or relevant certifications, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel nationally for extended periods while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field service in the mass transit industry.
• Technical degree preferred; industry certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completing hands-on installations, upgrades, and disassembly of vehicle systems.
• Performing system testing, integration, and troubleshooting as part of a project team.
• Conducting site surveys and attending site-specific meetings.
• Installing and commissioning wired and wireless low and high-voltage network solutions.
• Validating network functionality and documenting results.
• Adhering to OSHA, FRA, and RLC safety and PPE standards.
