Job summary

RL Controls, LLC in Massachusetts is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to execute installations and testing for simple to complex vehicle systems, including upgrading equipment and network components. You will install and terminate DC low-voltage wiring and perform conduit work.

The role requires 2+ years of field service in mass transit, a technical degree, ability to read schematics, use multimeters, and travel nationally.

Qualifications

2+ years of field service experience in the mass transit industry.
Technical degree preferred; industry certifications are a plus.
Ability to read, comprehend, and apply technical documentation, specifications, and schematics.
Experience with wire termination, cabling, conduit work, and working around high-voltage systems.
Strong communication skills for completing reports and following instructions.

Responsibilities

Complete hands-on installations, upgrades, and disassembly of vehicle systems.
Perform system testing, integration, and troubleshooting as part of a project team.
Conduct site surveys and attend site-specific meetings.
Installing and commissioning wired and wireless low-voltage network solutions.
Validating network functionality and documenting results.
Adhere to OSHA, FRA, and RL Controls safety and PPE standards.
